Aims & Scope
Journal of Pediatrics, the official journal of the Azerbaijan Pediatricians Association (established in 1938), is a peer-reviewed publication that is aimed at enhancement of and building up scientific knowledge and skills and herewith contributing to professional education and training of pediatricians and allied professionals.
The journal provides leadership in pediatric education, research, patient care and advocacy for children’s rights and welfare and includes topics such as medical education, clinical pediatrics, neonatal care, emergency medicine, trauma and injury prevention, child abuse and violence prevention, behavioral pediatrics, healthcare services and children’s health policy development.
The journal provides an open platform for the presentation of pediatric research, involving professionals from various fields of medicine, as well as medical students, residents and experts of children’s non-for-profit organizations.
Journal of Pediatrics publishes peer-reviewed research broadly across the field, from basic to clinical research that meets ongoing challenges in pediatric patient care and child health. This multidisciplinary open-access journal is aimed at disseminating scientific knowledge and practice changing updates to researchers, academicians, clinicians and allied healthcare professionals.
Journal also features special theme-focused issues, addressing important areas in pediatrics. Journal also publishes articles related to basic and clinical research, including high-quality reviews, case reports, editorials and commentaries related to various aspects of pediatrics.
Reviewers and editors are acknowledged on the published paper, giving authors an added level of endorsement for their work.

All manuscripts submitted to the APJ for publication are reviewed by the section editors, by peer reviewers, and by the Journal’s Editor-in-Chief (who ensures that questions raised in peer review have been addressed appropriately and that the journal keeps an educational and scientific practical focus that is of interest to our readership).
